Real Client Case Study · Black Friday / Cyber Monday

I Pulled $170,000 Out of a "Dead" Email List in 14 Days Without Spending a Penny on Ads

Everybody thinks the money's in the Facebook ads. Here's the Black Friday campaign I ran for a motorcycle expedition club that proves the biggest profits are usually sitting in the list you already have.

The ads were only half the story

Even though I talk about Facebook ads 24/7, a lot of the time the big profits aren't in the ads, as you're about to see.

Erik Hatterscheidt is the founder of Freshline Moto Expedition Club. He takes exceptional men on purpose-driven missions across the globe on motorcycles. Before 2025, his business was killing it with Facebook ads.

Then the Andromeda algorithm update kicked in and melted down his campaigns. His media buyer desperately ran test after test on the old playbook, spending $500 to $1,000 a day pushing hundreds of creatives that didn't work.

By the time Erik was referred to me, he was overwhelmed and getting close to folding up shop and declaring bankruptcy. On top of that, his family life was suffering… hard.

First, we fixed the ads, the AOA Way

The 30 & 90-day turnaround

I reviewed Erik's ad account, funnel, follow-up and sales systems. It was clear my process for working with the Andromeda algorithm, The AOA Way, would fix his issues. So we got to work: cleaned up the account, optimized the funnel, and fixed the leaks in his sales process.

$107 → $44.85
Cost per booked call (first 30 days)
$743 → $179
Cost per sale (first 30 days)
$114K → $441K
Revenue by day 90
10.4x
Return on ad spend

The transformation was so profound it gave Erik his time freedom back to spend with his wife and children.

Then he asked what else I could do

Erik expected me, a "Facebook ads guy", to talk about doing even more with Facebook ads. I didn't. I told him we needed to get the most out of the assets he already had.

Using one simple strategy, I pulled another $170,000 in 14 days, without spending an extra penny on ads.

If you're running Facebook ads, chances are you're collecting emails. Most people who click your ad won't buy today, but there's a lot of money sitting in those addresses.

Erik had been running ads for years collecting emails. His email reputation was trash, which made it hard for his messages to even get delivered. His sales team had already gone through his 14,424-person list and called it "dead."

I've been around long enough to know you should never take a salesperson's word when it comes to following up with leads. So I said: let's run a 14-Day Cash Campaign.

The 14-Day Cash Campaign

The exact play

Week 1, warm up + test. We sent a slow drip of the promotion to a small segment of the list to test the messaging and warm up email deliverability (plus one text). Deliverability and response came back the way we wanted.

Week 2, hit the whole list:

TUESDAYEmail 1 + Text 1 to the entire list
WEDNESDAYEmail 2 to the entire list
FRIDAYEmail 3 + Text 2, deadline midnight

3 emails and 2 texts to 14,424 people. Here's what it did:

307
Qualified bookings
34
New sales
$170,000
Generated · $0 up front
$11.78
Per email on a "dead" list

Take your list size and multiply it by $11.78, that's the pile of cash you could be sitting on right now:

Emails on your listAt $11.78 / email
100$1,178
1,000$11,780
10,000$117,800
100,000$1,178,000
1,000,000$11,780,000

That's not nothing. That's real money. You just have to know how to activate your list in ways you haven't before.

The campaign

The ad, the emails, the texts

This wasn't a one-email blast. It was a coordinated promotion, a simple retargeting ad driving urgency, three emails, and two texts, all aligned to where each person was in the buying process.

The retargeting ad

The same adventure film ran across all three retargeting ads, each with a different angle, announcement, reason-to-act, and last-chance urgency, driving to a single application. The offer: a 2026 Guatemala Crucible for $1,500 off ($5,000 instead of $6,500) plus a free $939 Mosko Reckless 40L luggage system, applications closing Friday night.

Why we get results nobody else can

It's not luck

The reason we pull results like this is simple: we don't do what everybody else does.

• We're not running the strategies that used to work, we use innovative strategies that work today.
• We don't follow up like everybody else. We use advanced filtration, segmenting and AI to send only to real people who are engaging, with behavioral messaging customized to where each person is in the buyer's journey.
• We don't run ad campaigns like everybody else. We run multi-tiered messaging and advanced retargeting aligned to the 5-phase psychological buying process.

That's why we consistently get 10.4x return on ad spend at scale, and why we can grab $11.78 per lead from a "dead" list.

Questions people ask

The 14-Day Cash Campaign

How do you make money from a "dead" email list?

You reactivate it with a short, deadline-driven promotion instead of spending more on ads. In this case, 3 emails and 2 texts over 14 days to the segmented list pulled $170,000 from a 14,424-person list the client's own sales team had written off.

What is a 14-Day Cash Campaign?

It's a back-end promotion to an existing email and SMS list. Week one warms up deliverability and tests the message on a small segment. Week two sends email 1 and text 1 on Tuesday, email 2 on Wednesday, and email 3 and text 2 on Friday, with a Friday-night deadline.

How much is an email list worth?

In this campaign it worked out to $11.78 per email. Multiply your list size by that for a rough estimate of the revenue sitting in it. Results depend on your offer, list and execution.

Who is this campaign for?

Businesses with a $5,000+ phone offer, currently running Facebook ads into a lead-generation funnel, with at least 10,000 active email or SMS subscribers.
